Christina Crespi

Miami Downtown Development Authority, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

As CEO and Executive Director, Christina leads the development, management, and execution of the agency’s long-term strategic plan, which includes advocating, facilitating, and executing business development; urban planning and capital improvement projects; marketing and communication strategies; enhancing services at the street level to ensure the quality of life of Downtown Miami residents; and promoting art and culture in the district. Christina is committed to creating an ecosystem that encourages businesses to flourish. Earlier this year, she oversaw the creation of the Permit Clinic, a free program where law students and volunteer lawyers help small business owners who wish to open, expand, legalize unpermitted businesses and more in the Downtown core. To date, more than 80 businesses have used the Permit Clinic. Additional accomplishments achieved under Christina’s leadership include:

• The “United at Home” concert, headlined by David Guetta, which raised $1.2 million for Feeding South Florida and drove an impressive 70% surge in Downtown condo sales in 2020.

• The Business Incentive Program, which has attracted 31 companies to-date and will create 3,300 high-wage jobs over the next few years.

• The expansion of the Downtown Enhancement Team, developed in collaboration with Camillus House, which helps formerly homeless individuals re-enter the workforce.
