Scholarship and UCREW Subcommittee

The Scholarship Subcommittee manages the Chapter’s annual scholarship.  Specifically, one scholarship is awarded during each of the Fall and Spring academic semesters to a woman currently studying a commercial real estate-related discipline at a college or university in Miami Dade County.  The Subcommittee promotes the scholarship within the local academic and commercial real estate communities, prepares and administers the scholarship application form, manages collection of applications, scores the applications, selects a winner, and coordinates delivery of the scholarships to the winner.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours promoting, 1-2 hours managing applications, 3-4 hours scoring, and 2-3 hours coordinating delivery of the scholarship, for a total of 7-11 hours during a two-month span at the end of each academic semester (i.e., November and December for Fall scholarship and April and May for Spring scholarship).  Subcommittee members are asked to commit to both the Fall and Spring semesters, for a grand total of 14-22 hours.
