UCREW FIU Subcommittee
The UCREW Subcommittee holds roundtable networking events at Florida International University (FIU) and the University of Miami (UM) to foster interest in commercial real estate and related fields as career choices, particularly for women. Subcommittee members liaise with CREW Network prior to each event and report afterward, and collaborate with university staff to determine venues, dates, schedules, and content. Tasks delegated to Subcommittee members include recruiting CREW Miami members as volunteers, and handling event logistics.
Time commitment: 1-2 hours planning dates and venues, 2-3 hours recruiting, 2-3 hours promoting, and 3-4 coordinating logistics prior to and during each event, for a total of 8-12 hours per event. One UCREW event is held at least once each year at each of the two major universities in Miami Dade County, for a minimum of two events each year and a maximum of four events each year. Members are asked to commit to the year for one university, for a minimum grand total of 8-12 and a maximum grand total of 16-24 hours per university per year.
