Spring Leadership Summit Professional Development Award Application

Professional development is one of the unique opportunities our CREW Miami Chapter offers its members. To that end, we will be granting two (2) CREW Miami member a $2,000 award to attend CREW Network’s Spring Leadership Summit in Portland, OR on June 19th-20th.

CREW Network Leadership Summits are open to all CREW Network chapter leaders and members who want to increase their abilities as board leaders as well as advance their careers through leadership development workshops. This multifaceted meeting brings together 400+ CREW leaders to learn from one another about chapter management, but also to learn from leading experts about the critical leadership skills that give you the business advantage. Two (2) CREW Miami members will be awarded up to $2,000 to cover:
· Retreat registration fee ($399 Member rate; Member must register using the CREW Network event link above)
· Hotel accommodations at Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront (up to 3 nights at $249/night + tax)
· Airfare (up to $500)
· Other transportation and meals (up to $200)
Note: The Award may not cover all your expenses. Your expenses up to $2,000 must be documented to receive reimbursement from CREW Miami. Any additional expenses will be the responsibility of the Awardee.
Applicant Requirements:
· Must be an active member of CREW Miami for a minimum of 1 year.
· Must have completed a CREWbiz profile on the CREW Network website, including a photo.
· If you are currently on a committee, please have your Committee Chair, Co-Chair or a Board Director complete the attached Recommendation Form.
Responsibilities of the Awardee:
· Attend the Summit for both days, with attendance at all sessions, workshops, and meals.
· Prepare a recap article on your Summit experience that will be posted in the CREW Miami newsletter and social media (500 words). Article is due within 2 weeks after the Summit.
· Provide receipts evidencing up to $2,000 of expenses. Expenses are subject to review. Submit receipts to Sarah Zhou, 2025 CREW Miami Treasurer.
· Commit to a CREW Miami committee for a minimum of 1 year.
Deadlines and Important Dates:
· Monday March 10th: CREW Miami Professional Development Award Application (using the form below)
· Monday March 10th: Committee Recommendation Form (if applicable, using the form attached)
· Wednesday June 4th: CREW Miami Professional Development Awardee Selection (applicants will be informed via email)
· Discounted room rate at Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront. Book here.
· Thursday, April 3rd: Discounted Summit registration rate ($399) expires; increases to $449 (April 4, 2025 – May 22, 2025). Register here.
· Wednesday, May 28th: Application Deadline
o Note: All registration cancellations must be submitted to CREW Network in writing by June 11, 2025 and are subject to a $50 USD administrative fee. No refunds will be provided by CREW Network for registration fees after June 11th
· Friday, June 27th: Article due from Awardee for inclusion in CREW Miami newsletter
