Yvonne Nyakana is a finance professional with a background in commercial lending in the Middle Market, Business and Community Banking arenas. Her expertise includes structuring deals, underwriting complex credits, and adjudicating loans to non-profit organizations, privately-owned companies, publicly traded enterprises, and high net worth individuals. She is an experienced leader in business growth strategy, leadership development, team building and talent acquisition. As the Commercial Credit Manager of the newly formed Not-for-Profit South division at TD Bank, she oversees a $1.7B portfolio through a team of portfolio managers and credit analysts. Since heading the division, her team members have been recognized as TD WoW! Stars and EPIC awardees. Recently, her division attained national status by helping to bring in a marquis name to the Bank through a $275 million deal.
Yvonne has earned a Master of Taxation, Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Business Administration. She is a graduate of Leadership Miami, CREW Leadership and the Urban Leadership Forum. A strong advocate for community support, she serves on the board of CREW Miami as Director of Sponsorships, the board of Risk Management Association - South Florida Chapter, CREW Miami Mentorship Committee, and the Advisory Board of the Florida Bicycle Association, with past leadership that includes Co-Chair of Member Services for CREW Miami, founder and former Shero of the Miami Chapter of Black Girls Do Bike, and Past President of Toastmasters International Akron Ohio Chapter.
