Emily Butler

Emily Butler, CPA, is a partner and a member of the CohnReznick’s assurance practice and leader of the Mid-Atlantic commercial real estate practice.  Based in the Miami office, she has approximately 20 years of public accounting experience in providing client services in the areas of audit, reviews, and other relevant accounting services. This experience includes working with private equity real estate funds, real estate developers, and owner/operator of all major asset classes.  

She is experienced with the requirements of investment funds and with Investment Company Guide – Fair Value, GAAP cost basis, IFRS, and income tax basis reporting.  In addition to her client responsibilities, Emily has led firm-sponsored recruitment discussions and presentations and instructed continuing education courses for client and professional staff covering such topics as basic real estate concepts, financial statement preparation, and FASB updates.
